Chiranjeevi at Kancheepuram
Today, Chiranjeevi will worship at Kancheepuram prior to his first party meet at Tirupati on August 26th, where he will announce his party’s name, symbol and values. It was already reported throughout the media that Chiranjeevi and his family would perform a homam on Chiranjeevi’s birthday (August 22nd) for wealth and power.
Early this morning, Chiranjeevi flew to Chennai from Hyderabad and proceeded to Kancheepuram (about 75 kms from Chennai) by car. Yesterday, a pooja involving 50 vedic scholars was performed as a preliminary to today’s homam, where actress Sandana who has acted previously with Chiranjeevi took part. Today, Chiranjeevi will be present at the temple upto around 2 pm performing the ceremonies related to the homam.
Security has been tightened around the temple to prevent any untoward incidents during Chiranjeevi’s visit.
