Chennai Warriors at Chepauk

It iscricket, camaraderie and showbiz all the way to the Chepauk stadium in Chennai. Chennai Warriors, Kollywood's cricket team, are busy practising day in and day out on the nets at the Chepauk grounds for their forthcoming match with Tollywood's cricket team, Andhra Kings, on March 7th.

A sense of warmth and camaraderie prevails over Chepauk grounds as the youngsters – rivals in their own field – bond together for the game of cricket. A lively young brigade of actors, the guys take time off their shooting schedules to practise for the game on Saturday.

When asked whether the attacks on the Sri Lankan cricket team have bogged them down, a confident Jiiva replies, "Such attacks should not bog us down. We are not scared of anybody. We might not be professional cricketers, but we all take the game very seriously. At the end of the day, sport should go on. And, cricket unifies us. Most of us are friends because of the game. We might have just finished playing a match, but even after we’re home, we think about it and call each other to find out how we could have improved.”

The team comprises prominent young actors like Arya, Bharath, Jiiva, Silambarasan, Vishnu, Jithan Ramesh, Srikanth and Shanthnoo among others.Filled with energy on the nets, these guys plan todo wonders on the pitch. All the best Chennai Warriors!
