Changing times, changing audio launches
Not long ago, the audio of Tollywood film Ashta Chamma, was released in a radio station. The film’s crew gathered at BIG FM 92.7 office, and after a brief interview session, pressed a button to broadcast the film’s first song, which signalled the audio launch. From the next day, the audio CDs and cassettes were available at music stores and the film’s audio was exclusively promoted on BIG FM.
Recently, actor Mohan’s film Suttapazham’s audio launch was also held at a radio station, but with a slight difference. The entire audio launch function was broadcast live on Hello FM 106.4 and actor Shaam released the audio cassette, which was received by Vimala Raman. Then a few songs of the film were played on air too.
With change being the only constant on earth and with plenty of willing experimenters in Kollywood, the future holds many interesting and promising changes, be it an audio launch or ideas on which films are based.
