Veteran Bollywood actor Naseeruddin Shah is all set to make his Kollywood Debut. The debut film of the star will be directed by debutant Prakash Devaraj. Other details about the cast and crew of the project are yet to be finalized.
Naseeruddin Shah is a director-actor and has done over 200 movies in his career. The veteran has won three National Awards. Two for best actor and one for best supporting actor.
Naseeruddin Shah has received Padma Bhushan and Padma Shri as well. He has been nominated in the Filmfare Awards for a record 18 times and has on three occasions for best actor.
In a recent interview, Shah has said that he is pretty much fed up with the films made in Bollywood. As quoted, Shah said, “I am pretty much fed up with the kind of movies we make. I am not very optimistic about the film world in Bombay”
Based on the statement, the move to make his Kollywood debut may suggest that he is really fed up with the movie up top and is looking for something fresh and new down South. Apart from the contended statement, it is an honor to welcome the stupendous actor to Kollywood.
