The remake of S.A. Chandrashekar's 1981 classic hit Sattam Oru Iruttarai (starring Vijaykanth in the lead role) was hold due to lead actor Vikram Prabhu's date problem. The remake is produced by Vijay's Ghilli Films and has Vikram Prabhu, Reema Sen and Piaa Bajpai in lead roles. The film is directed by S.A. Chandrasekar's grand niece Sneha, a visual communication graduate.
