Bharya Oru Suhruth
Veteran Malayalam director Venu Nagavalli's Bharya Oru Suhruth (earlier titled Suhruth) was huge news in 2007 when it started rolling!�Today's scoop is the director�is making a comeback to film direction after a long gap. His last project, Rektha Sakshikal Zindabad, was released in 1998.
Though the entire shoot of Bharya Oru Suhruth was completed in the beginning of 2008 itself, the movie has been sitting on the shelf for nearly one year. Now, some sources indicate that Venu Nagavalli is taking initiatives to release the film soon.
Produced by Krishna Kumar and Biju Shamsudden, Bharya Oru Suhruth, a family entertainer,�has Mukesh, Padmapriya and Urvashi in the lead roles and Jagathy, Harisree Ashokan, Thilakan, Vijay Menon, Jyothirmayi, Sruthi Laxmi and Sukumari in supporting roles. The script is written by the director himself. Alex Paul has set music to lyrics written by O.N.V. Kurup. Cheriyan Kalpakavady is the man behind the screenplay. K.P. Nambiathiri has wielded the camera.
Venu Nagavalli's other directorial ventures include Sughamodevi (1986), Sarvakalasala (1987), Ayitham (1987), Swagatham (1989), Lal Salam (1990), Aye Auto (1990), Kizhkkunarum Pakshi (1991), Kalippattam (1993), Aayirappara (1993) and Agni Devan (1995). Interestingly, the screenplays of most of these films were also written by the director.
