Blockbuster director Atlee has gone on to become one of the most sought-after filmmakers in recent times, especially after his last film, Bigil, starring 'Thalapathy' Vijay, which released last year as a Diwali treat and went on to become a box office money-spinner. The Mersal director is at present working on his next script, which reportedly is being said to be his Bollywood debut with Shah Rukh Khan in the lead role. Although there has been no official announcement as yet regarding the project, speculations are rife that the two will indeed be teaming up for an action film in Hindi.

Having said that, Atlee, who recently acquired the release rights of Kaithi fame Arjun Das' upcoming film, Andhaghaaram, had informed fans a while back that he would be presenting the action thriller under his A for Apple Productions banner. Shot a few years back, Andhagaaram's release had been mired in delays, after which the Theri director announced that it will be premiering directly on the Netflix OTT platform on November 24. In that light, Atlee made yet another huge announcement on his Twitter page on Wednesday saying a musical teaser for Andhaghaaram will be out on November 5 at 6PM, with composer Anirudh Ravichander set to unveil it. Sharing the posters, Atlee tweeted, "Musical teaser of #andhaghaaram Tamil will be launched by dear bro @anirudhofficial  at 6pm tomorrow , stay tuned @NetflixIndia #nov24". Below is the official announcement tweet:

Andhaghaaram marks the directorial debut of Vignarajan, whom Atlee complimented a few days back saying the film is going to leave a big impact among the viewers. Produced by O2 Pictures in association with Passion Studios, Andhaghaaram has music scored by Pradeep Kumar, cinematography by Edwin Sakay and editing by Sathyarajan Natarajan. Apart from Arjun Das, the film also includes Vinoth Kishan, Pooja Ramachandran and Meesha Ghoshal in starring roles. Expectations for the film have been considerably high, especially after a dark, intense and gritty trailer was released a few months back, which has since received a positive response.
