Director Pa Ranjith's next film, Sarpatta Parambarai will skip the theatrical release and go for a direct OTT release and the official announcement regarding the same was made, today (July 8). The film will release on the Amazon Prime Video platform and it will stream from July 22. This means that we are just 2 weeks away from witnessing the film from the comfort of our homes and the announcement has taken the fans by surprise. With just 14 days there for the release, the makers will release the teaser, trailer, and songs very soon. Sarpatta Parambarai was expected to be a potential theatrical material that promised solid amount of action, but due to the ongoing Covid-19 situation, we will have to catch the film on our small screens.

Sarpatta Parambarai will mark Arya's second OTT release after Teddy, which released on the Disney Hotstar platform. Teddy was well received by the Tamil audience and Sarpatta Parambarai also looks to be a potential winner. Produced by K9 Studioz, Sarpatta Parambarai features Dushara Vijayan as the female lead, while the star cast also includes the likes of Pasupathi, Kalaiyarasan, Sanchana Natarajan, Anupama Kumar, John Kokken, Santhosh Prathap, John Vijay, Kaali Venkat, and others.
