Kaithi and Master sensation Arjun Das has become one of the busiest actors in recent times and he has got quite a few exciting projects in his lineup. Kaithi gave him the first big breakthrough and it made him a well-known personality among the Tamil audience. He later featured in an important role in Thalapathy Vijay's Master, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. Arjun was also seen playing one of the leads in Andhaghaaram which brought out the performer inside him. Arjun Das' performance in Andhaghaaram received highly positive reviews. Up next, he would be seen playing the lead role in Vasanta Balan's next directorial and he will be seen sharing screen space with actress Dushara Vijayan of Sarpatta Parambarai fame.

This untitled film will have music composed by GV Prakash. Meanwhile, Arjun Das has signed a brand new film and the official announcement regarding the project was made, this morning. Arjun Das will be playing one of the leads in the Telugu remake of the Malayalam film, Kappela which garnered good attention among the South audience during the lockdown. The film had good visibility after its release on Netflix and the film received positive reviews from the audience. Kappela featured Anna Ben, Roshan Mathew, and Sreenath Bhasi in the lead roles.

The Telugu remake was officially launched this morning with a formal pooja and blockbuster director Trivikram Srinivas graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. This untitled film will be produced by Sithara Entertainments. Actor Siddhu Jonnalagadda, who rose to prominence after playing the lead role in Krishna and His Leela, will be playing the other lead. Siddhu will be reprising the role played by Sreenath Bhasi, while Arjun Das will be seen reprising Roshan Mathew's character. Interestingly, this film will mark Arjun's debut in Telugu cinema.

The makers have reportedly not finalized the female lead of this project and an official announcement regarding the same is awaited. Debutant Shourie Chandrashekhar T Ramesh will be directing this film which will have music composed by Sweekar Agasthi. The shooting is expected to begin in August.
