Directed by AR Murugadoss, Spyder starring Mahesh Babu in the lead is making waves in Tamil and Telugu.

The bilingual film has reached audiences on a positive note, creating a great entry for Telugu Prince in Kollywood. ARM is a favorite director all over India as he has already worked with top stars like Vijay and Aamir Khan.


When watching Spyder, it’s tough not to feel Mahesh Babu look a lot like Vijay because of his mannerisms and dialog delivery. Both stars have done the same scripts multiple times as remakes.


However, Thuppaki was originally written for Mahesh Babu, not Thalapathy in the first place. AR Murugadoss revealed it in a recent interview. When he wanted to remake Thuppaki with Mahesh, Vijay wanted it to be dubbed in Telugu. So, the idea never took off.
