Anthony Yaar goes to Bollywood

Shaam-starrer Anthony Yaar will soon be remade in Hindi and Telugu, say reports from Annam Films International.Impressed by Shaam’s performance, producer Vijaykumar has also decided to cast him in the lead of both Hindi and Telugu versions. So soon Shaam will taste his share of Bollywood Glory, something which almost every actor looks forward too.

Anthony Yaar is an action subject for which Shaam, the chocolate boy of Kollywood, underwent an image change. He not only built a strong and muscular physique but also trained harder to do be able to do stunts convincingly. He did quite a lot of homework to build his new action image, paying special attention tocorrect dialogue delivery anddeportment. Though he had tried an action role in Inba already, he still had some remnants of his chocolate boy image. But now, the Shaam that you will see in Anthony Yaar is completely different from what you have seen so far.

Mallika Kapoor – who starred in Azhagai Irukkirai Bayamai Irukkiradhu, Vathiar and Puli Varuthu – is his heroine. Anthony Yaar shows Shaam as a tough fisherman who takes to violence irked by the misdeeds of a few who lack moral rectitude. Directed by C.D. Pandi, Anthony Yaar has been mostly shot in the seaside village of Uvari. Music is by Dhina.

The film also stars Vivek, who plays Kingfisher, a jolly good fisherman whose wisecracks and one-liners will tickle your funnybone.
