Few days back, Chennai based professor was arrested for posting vulgar tweets about singer Chinmayi on her twitter page. And now a government employee, who works as an assistant in Tiruppur Collectorate, has also been arrested on the same.
Chinmayi has earlier lodged a complaint with the police alleging that few individuals have threatened to kill, rape and assault her on Twitter, since January. She also mentioned that they are posting comments on her character as well as about her mother. She listed six twitter handlers - @senthilchn, @RajanLeaks, @asharavkay, @losongelesram, @vivajial and @thyirvadai.
So far the police have arrested two persons under the Information Technology Act 2005 and Prevention of Women Harassment Act.
