A film that has raised massive curiosity among fans right from the moment of its announcement last year is the upcoming action thriller, Enemy, which  will see Vishal as the hero and Arya in the role of the antagonist. Directed by Anand Shankar of Arimba Nambi, Iru Mugan and NOTA fame under producer Vinoth's Mini Studios banner, the film was announced sometime back to hit theatres on October 14 as an Ayudha Pooja release. Having said that, a new release plan has now been opted as the makers announced on Friday that Enemy will be coming out worldwide in theatres as a Diwali release.

Taking to Twitter, Vishal revealed that Enemy has been given a 'U/A' certificate by the censor board, while also informing that the film will arrive in theatres this November. Enemy is Vishal's 30th and Arya's 32nd venture and their second film together after the duo collaborated nearly a decade ago for Avan Ivan under National Award winner Bala's direction. A high-octane and action-packed teaser for Enemy was released sometime back to a rousing response from fans and showed the two stars going up against each other in some intense stunt sequences. Enemy will now have some tough competition at the box office this Diwali when it will face off with 'Superstar' Rajinikanth's Annaatthe and Silambarasan TR's Maanaadu. In Enemy, Vishal will be seen romancing youth sensation and Dubsmash and Tik Tok fame Mirnalini Ravi, who previously made heads turn with her performance in her debut in acclaimed director Thiagarajan Kumararaja's Super Deluxe. The film also has National Award-winning actor Prakash Raj cast in a pivotal role and will be supported by Malayalam actress and filmmaker Mamta Mohandas, with composer S. Thaman churning out the songs and Sam C. S. handling the background score.
