Ajmal Ameer gets better offers in Tamil

After rubbing shoulders with Mohanlal in Madambi (2008), promising Malayalam-Tamil actor Ajmal Ameer, who is now debuting in Telugu with Ram Charan Teja starrer Rachcha, has completely gone missing from Mollywood. This doctor turned actor is busy juggling hero and anti-hero roles in Kollywood.

Talking about his break from Malayalam films, the actor said in an interview that staying away from Mollywood was not a conscious decision. “The fact is that I've been getting bigger and better offers from Tamil and I am waiting for the right script to come my way from Mollywood,” he added.

"I don't have many films in my kitty to boast of. But I believe that the few which I have been part of have been carefully chosen. There's no point in doing a film just for the sake of doing it and adding to the number of films in your career. I want to maintain making smart choices that will never spur me to think 'Oh! I shouldn't have done that film'," he further said.
