Valimai is Thala Ajith’s next outing after Nerkonda Paarvai and the star actor would be donning the role of a police officer in this action drama. Valimai is directed by H Vinoth and produced by Boney Kapoor’s Bayview Projects LLP. After directing a remake film in the form of Nerkonda Paarvai, H Vinoth has taken up his own script for Valimai and it is expected to have a strong content. Vinoth is someone known for his strong writing and detailed research which we already saw in films like Sathuranga Vettai and Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru and we can expect him to raise the bar with Valimai. The film’s shooting was stalled all these months due to the pandemic and the fans were eagerly looking forward to a development.

After quite some wait, it has now been revealed that the shooting of Valimai has resumed in the outskirts of Chennai with a crew under 75 people. The shooting is reportedly happening with all safety measures in place. The pictures from the shooting spot have been leaked and are doing rounds on social media. We see the makers filming sequences in a highway kind of setup. Director H Vinoth and cinematographer Nirav Shah are seen in some of the pictures. There are also a few other pictures where we see actor Kartikeya and it looks like he has joined the shoot of Valimai. Kartikeya is said to be playing the villain and it is going to be exciting to see a star like Ajith locking horns against a young actor like Kartikeya.

Ajith has not yet joined shoot and the team is likely to film sequences that don’t involve him for the next few days. We will have to wait for a few more days to know about Ajith’s shooting plans. The makers had initially planned to shoot the majority of the film in foreign locales, but looking at the current pandemic, the plans might be changed accordingly and an official word is awaited. The film has music scored by Yuvan Shankar Raja who has got a great success ratio with Ajith. The fans are eagerly looking forward to the music of the film, as well. Details regarding the film’s release plans are yet to be known and we will be getting a better clarity in the next few weeks.
