AIFEC begins
The ninth All India Film Employees Conference (AIFEC), being hosted by Film Employees' Federation of South India (FEFSI), will begin on October 9 at Chennai Trade Centre and the Nehru Stadium, Chennai. About 30,000 employees of the film industry, representing 24 different crafts from all over the country will participate this three-day national conference, concluding on October 11.
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi, who started his film career at the age of 17, will be conferred the Global Achiever Award at the inaugural function today, which will have the presence of super stars Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan..
The main attraction of the conference is a musical night, in which more than 50 music composers, including Ilayaraja, M.S. Vishwanathan, Yuvanshankar Raja, Harris Jayaraj, Deva and Patnaik, will perform. The aim of the conference is to foster good relations between all the regional artistes and federations and develop an amicable atmosphere for resolving problems.
