Oscar winner A.R. Rahman is awaiting the audio release of his two films, Ai and Kaaviya Thalaivan. An exciting news has come his way and this time it is from the Berklee College of Music.
A.R. Rahman will be receiving an honorary doctorate from the college at a concert on October 24, 2014. We had earlier reported that he received an honorary doctorate from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.
A spokesperson from Berklee stated that the college will be introducing a scholarship in Rahman’s name which would help in bringing aspiring musicians all the way from India to Berklee.
