Vijay Sethupathi who had two releases last week (Laabam and Tughlaq Durbar) will have one more release this weekend in the form of Annabelle Sethupathi. The film features Taapsee Pannu in the lead role, while Vijay Sethupathi will be seen playing a crucial role. Makkal Selvan will be seen throughout the second half of the movie. The film is directed by Deepak Sundarrajan, son of veteran director and actor R Sundarrajan. After assisting director AL Vijay, Deepak Sundarrajan will be making his debut as a director in Tamil cinema with Annabelle Sethupathi. The film is scheduled to have a direct OTT release on the Disney Hotstar platform on September 17 and the film is expected to attract the family audience in large numbers.

Meanwhile, the makers have now released a new promotional video song titled 'Ginger Soda' and this song is crooned by Anirudh Ravichander. The rockstar composer's energetic rendition makes this song appeal well to the listeners. The song is composed by Krishna Kishor who has also scored the music for the entire film. Krishna Kishor shows good promise with his foot-tapping beats. Through the music video of 'Ginger Soda', we see some newer visuals from the movie featuring Taapsee, Vijay Sethupathi, Radikaa Sarathkumar, and others. 'Ginger Soda' is just a promotional track and it will not be featured in the movie.

Taapsee will be seen playing the role of Rudra, a small-time burglar who gets into a palace that is filled with ghosts. Apart from Vijay Sethupathi and Taapsee, the film features several other prominent actors in supporting roles and the list includes the likes of Jagapathi Babu, Rajendra Prasad, Radhika Sarathkumar, Yogi Babu, Vennela Kishore, Chetan, Devadarshini, Subbu Panchu, Madhumitha, Raja Sundaram, Suresh Menon, George Maryan, Raj Kumar, Sunil, Surekha Vani, Linga, Harshada, Indhu Ravi, and others.
