'Makkal Selvan' Vijay Sethupathi has a packed film line-up unlike any other actor in Tamil cinema at present as his upcoming ventures ready for release include late director S. P. Jananathan's Laabam, veteran filmmaker R. Sundarrajan's son Deepak Sundarajan’s directorial debut, Annabelle Sethupathi, Delhi Prasad Deenadayal's Tughlaq Durbar, Seenu Ramasamy's Maamanithan, Kadaisi Vivasayi under Kaaka Muttai fame M. Manikandan's direction and Mumbaikar, his Bollywood debut and an official remake of Maanagaram directed by acclaimed cinematographer Santosh Sivan. That said, an announcement has now come for the Vijay Sethupathi and Taapsee starrer, Annabelle Sethupathi, with the film's first look officially being unveiled on Thursday.

The Annabelle Sethupathi first look poster is also carrying the announcement of the film's release and is headed for a straight to OTT release. It has been revealed that the film will premiere on DisneyPlus Hotstar on September 17 in five languages - Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada. The Annabelle Sethupathi first look gives us a hint of the film's plot, which will revolve around Taapsee visiting an age-old bungalow-palace, and will reportedly see her and Vijay Sethupathi in dual roles. Touted to be a horror comedy, the film has been packing in quite a lot of excitement right from the moment it was announced last year and has been shot extensively in Jaipur.

Apart from Vijay Sethupathi and Taapsee serving as the major highlights in Annabelle Sethupathi, the film produced by Sudhan Sundaram and G. Jayaram under the Passion Studios banner boasts of an impressive supporting cast featuring names like Radhika Sarathkumar, Devadarshini, Madhumita, Subbu Panchu, Yogi Babu among others. It is to be noted that the film was initially speculated to be titled as Annabelle Subramaniam and it being changed to Annabelle Sethupathi will no doubt connect with Tamil and South Indian audiences more on the basis of Vijay Sethupathi's huge popularity.
