Silambarasan TR's 47th film titled Vendhu Thaninthathu Kaadu has kicked off its second schedule starting today (August 26) after the first leg of filming wrapped up a few days back. Being directed by blockbuster director Gautham Vasudev Menon, the upcoming venture is touted to be a raw and intense mass film, with the first look poster leaving fans everywhere quite stunned since it showed Simbu in a never before seen avatar. In that light, STR took to social media on Thursday and tweeted the news of the start of the second schedule of Vendhu Thaninthathu Kaadu, while also extending his gratitude to God. Although he hasn't mentioned anywhere in his tweet about the red card issue being finally dismissed by the Tamil Film Producers Council (TFPC) on Thursday, his statement is being looked upon as a reference to the latest developments, with fans as well extending their wishes to the actor.

STR's name made headlines once again a few days back in regard to the red card that was issued by the TFPC based on a complaint in 2017 by producer S. Michael Rayappan, who stated that the actor did not turn up for the shooting of Anbanavan Asaradhavan Adangadhavan leading to some losses. That said, Simbu tweeted a picture of himself looking at the sun and wrote, "Always remember, there's a bright shining light even after the darkest nights. Thank you GOD. #Nandriiraivaa #SilambarasanTR #Atman #VTKSecondScheduleStarts #STR  #VendhuThanindhathuKaadu". Check it out below:

Expectations for Vendhu Thaninthathu Kaadu have been massive right from the moment the project was announced and is being produced by Dr. Ishari K Ganesh's Vels Film International banner, with music by Academy Award-winning composer A. R. Rahman. Apart from Simbu, the film's star cast for now includes iconic veteran Tamil actress Radikaa Sarathkumar in a pivotal role, with the title being taken from Mahakavi Bharathiyar's famous song, 'Agnikunjondru Kanden'.
