WOW: This leading top heroine to be a part of Mani Ratnam's Ponniyin Selvan

Director Mani Ratnam's dream project, Ponniyin Selvan is finally happening and the team is busy with the pre-production works. This magnum opus will be bankrolled by Lyca Productions and if things go as per plan, the film might go on floors by the end of November or early December this year. The film already boasts of some big names in the star cast and it is surely going to be one of the biggest multistarrers in Indian cinema history. Chiyaan Vikram, Jayam Ravi, and Karthi are said to play the male leads, while Nayanthara, Keerthy Suresh, Sathyaraj, Jayaram, are also expected to be a part of the star cast.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is touted to play a very important role that has negative shades to it. The latest super exciting update is that Mani Ratnam is in talks with ace actor Trisha to play one of the leads. This news has upped the expectations bar among the audience and things have just got better. The talks are said to be on a positive note and we can very much expect the official announcement soon.

On the technical front, Ponniyin Selvan will have music by A.R.Rahman, cinematography by Ravi Varman and lyrics by Vairamuthu. Mani Ratnam, Siva Ananth and popular actor Elango Kumaravel have penned the film's screenplay. Stay tuned for more updates.
