Actor Vijay enjoys a massive fanbase across the country and around the world wherever Tamil-speaking people are there. Currently busy with the shooting of his upcoming film Beast in Delhi, Vijay, who is lovingly called as 'Thalapathy', has now issued a statement addressed to his fans and members of the Vijay Makkal Iyakkam after a few posted photoshopped pictures of the superstar with political leaders. The photoshopped pictures went viral on social media sometime back and caused quite a big stir. In response, Bussy N. Anand, General Secretary, All India Thalapathy Vijay Makkal lyakkam, released a statement on Sunday on behalf of Vijay that is as follows:

"Greetings to all!

Lately, a few of the VMI members out of extreme fondness and curiousity have been photoshopping pictures of our Thalapathy along with other leaders. It has become customary to publish posters for films. But, such actions of the fans / members from time to time is very disappointing as our Thalapathy would never entertain such acts. Therefore, if any such thing continues without Thalapathy's permission/consent, on his behalf with his permission, stringent action will be taken."
