One of the biggest actors in India and an actor whose popularity is only soaring upwards with the passage of each day all across South India, 'Thalapathy' Vijay has proven to be a money-spinner powerhouse star for Tamil film producers and filmmakers. The superstar has delivered continuous blockbusters over the past three years starting with the action thriller Mersal under Atlee's direction, which went on to collect more than 200 crores at the box office. His next, Sarkar, a political action film with director AR Murugadoss was their third collaboration after previous hits, Thuppakki and Kaththi, which as well did a business of 200 crores worldwide. His last film, Bigil, a sports action venture and once again under director Atlee, went on to cross the 250 crores mark at the box office making it a sensational success.

Vijay, who is currently awaiting the release of his upcoming film, Master, meanwhile met Vijay Makkal Iyakkam's office-bearers and members from Trichy, Madurai and the Kanyakumari districts on Friday evening. The sudden surprise meeting was reportedly called in order to discuss strengthening the organization. Pictures of Vijay meeting the office-bearers and members of Vijay Makkal Iyakkam have since gone viral on social media, with fans delighted at seeing the superstar after a while. The last time Vijay was seen was when he honored Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu’s Green India Challenge by posting pictures on his social media pages, which as well received a thunderous response as many soon after took up the challenge themselves and began planting saplings and trees. 

On the professional front, as already known, Vijay is waiting for the coronavirus pandemic situation to take a better turn after which we can expect his highly-anticipated Master directed by Kaithi fame Lokesh Kanagaraj to hit screens. Producer Xavier Britto, who has produced the film under his XB Film Creators banner, including director Lokesh Kanagaraj had sometime back assured fans that the film will not be coming out as a direct OTT release as was being speculated and rumored, but would only be getting a theatrical release. The statements from them both left fans delighted, who as well are waiting for the COVID-19 situation to get better so that they can kick-start the celebrations that have been pending for Master's release. 

Touted to be an mass masala action thriller featuring chart-buster music by Anirudh Ravichander, Master will see Vijay facing off 'Makkal Selvan' Vijay Sethupathi, who is the antagonist. The Ka Pae Ranasingam actor had recently described that he will be seen as a cruel villain in the film which also includes Malavika Mohanan as the female lead, followed by Shanthanu Bhagyaraj, Arjun Das, Andrea Jeremiah, Gouri Kishan, Master Mahendran, KPY Dheena, Ramya Subramanian, Azhagam Perumal among others forming the supporting cast.
