However, it set off quite a few speculations over his death with many people stating his depression to be the main reason behind such a drastic decision. The suicide of young Sushant Singh Rajput has stirred quite the hornet's nest with the issue of "nepotism" rearing its head again. A number of conspiracy theories are also doing the rounds and many people are trying to get their "2 seconds of fame" using Sushant's name. Now a filmmaker has also jumped into the limelight by trying to cover the suicide story of Sushant Singh Rajput in a fictional manner through a movie. This film based on Sushant Singh’s life is directed by Shamik Maulik. The film is produced by Vijay Shekhar Gupta. It stars Sushant Singh Rajput’s lookalike and TikTok star Sachin Tiwari in the lead role.

Speaking to a media house about the film, producer Vijay Shekhar Gupta said - “Sushant Singh Rajput’s death by suicide came as a shock to all of us, but it is not new. Many actors who come to the industry to accomplish their dreams of making it big here, end up not getting work. Many take this route, and some keep struggling all their lives. So, we wanted to tell a story of how actors from small towns, who don’t have godfathers in Bollywood, struggle. We will be revealing other characters one by one. I can assure you that this film will definitely unmask the real face of the insiders of Bollywood.” The makers had released the first look of the film with the text - “A boy from small town became a Shining Star in the film industry.
