'Superstar' Rajinikanth's Annaatthe is one of the biggest films in the veteran actor's career, with Sun Pictures teaming up with the icon for the third time after their previous collaborations - Enthiran (2010) and Petta (2019). The upcoming venture has 'Thalaivar' joining hands with blockbuster director Siva of Siruthai, Vedalam and Viswasam fame for the first time, with chart-buster composer D. Imman coming on board for the songs and background score. Touted to be a mass rural family entertainer, promotions for Annaatthe kicked off earlier today when the makers unveiled the first look showing Rajinikanth charming us with yet another iconic pose.

In that light, the Annaatthe motion poster, which as well was announced as an additional special treat for Vinayagar Chathurthi, has now been officially released. Announced for a grand Diwali release on November 4, the film has generated massive hype among fans as it is set amidst a rural backdrop. Annaatthe will see Rajinikanth heading back to his roots of starring in a village and town-based film after nearly decades when he was last seen in a similar milieu in the 1999 blockbuster Padayappa. Expectations for Annaatthe are huge considering fans are looking to witness Rajinikanth in all his glory on the big screen once again.

Annaatthe has Rajinikanth sharing screen space once again alongside actresses Khushbu and Meena and their coming together on the big screen will be after two decades. Other notable names in the film include Keerthy Suresh, Nayanthara, Prakash Raj, Soori, Jagapathi Babu, Abhimanyu Singh, Sathish among others in pivotal roles.
