It has been quite a while since we saw STR on the big screen and his last release was Vantha Rajavathaan Varuven which released in February 2019. His next outing happens to be Maanaadu, which is expected to give him a strong comeback. This political drama is directed by Venkat Prabhu and has music scored by Yuvan Shankar Raja. The film has got huge expectations among the fans and let us hope it satisfies them when released. Produced by Suresh Kamatchi, this film features an interesting star cast including SJ Surya, Bharathiraja, SAChandrasekhar, Kalyani Priyadarshan, Karunakaran, Premgi Amaran, Manoj Bharathiraja. The film’s shooting has been stalled due to the global pandemic situation and let us hope that things get back to normalcy soon. The entire world is battling the effects of the COVID-19 Novel Corona Virus Pandemic, which is wreaking havoc by claiming lives in the lakhs and infecting hundreds of thousands of others but as the saying goes, you cannot stop sunlight or creativity with your bare hands, our Kollywood folks are not letting this stop them from coming up with innovative and creative projects. Earlier, STR, Gautham Menon and Trisha teamed up for a lockdown short film called Titled Karthik Dial Seytha Yenn which looked like sequel to VTV. Now STR has sung a song called En Nanbane.  
The makers have now unleashed the official motion poster of En Nanbane Single track of Gneyang Kaatthal Sei  starring Vibin and Rk Rejish. It is an independent album which has music by Srinath Pitchai while the lyrics and direction is done by Karthik Ravichandran. Editor departed for this special project is handled by Sivakumar Muthuraman and the cinematographer is by S.Santhosh Kumar. P Shanmuga Sundaram is bankrolling this project under his banner Sadhasivam Creations. En Nanbane track is expected to get famous since it has vocals by STR. The makers have now released the motion poster for Friendship day. Though Simbu is said to have signed 3 to 4 projects during the lockdown, officially he only has 2 projects in the pipeline, one is the Tamil remake of Kannada film Mufti directed by Narthan and the other project is Maanaadu directed by Venkat Prabhu. He is also playing an extended cameo in Hansika’s Maha. Now check out the motion poster:
