As has been repeated often, the COVID-19 Novel Corona Virus doesn't discriminate between people it infects! Irrespective of their social standing, colour, caste or creed, the Corona Virus has been infecting hundreds of thousands of people across the world. Many top sportspersons, politicians, national leaders, actors and others have been infected by this deadly virus. It came as a huge shock when news of Amitabh Bachchan and his family members being tested positive for this virus, came out! Then, it came out that the Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan had tested positive. Now, we have news of a top Indian political leader testing positive for COVID-19!
The Union Home Minister Amit Shah, has tested positive for the Corona Virus. He has been admitted to the Medanta Hospital in Haryana's Gurugram region, near Delhi! Amit Shah himself tweeted this news and stated that the doctors have assured that his health is fine but he is being hospitalised on the advice of the doctors. Amith Shah, who is 55 years old, attended a cabinet meeting a few days ago and the health officials are conducting extensive contact tracing to identify and test all those who came into contact with Amit Shah in the recent past! A general advisory has been issued to all people who came into contact with him, to go into self isolation!
Early today morning, 62-year-old Kamal Rani Varun - a minister from Uttar Pradesh, lost her life to COVID-19 after battling with it for over 2 weeks. She breathed her last at Lucknow's Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences. The MP Chief Minister has also been in the hospital for over 9 days now and today he tweeted to state that he is fine and doing well! He has been monitoring the state's COVID situation on a daily basis, via video conferencing! Many top political leaders have been sending across get well soon messages and wishes for Amit Shah to have a speedy recovery. We wish Amit Shah recovers well and returns to good health soon!
