Yesteryear diva Sridevi's comeback film English Vinglish received a standing ovation at Roy Thompson Hall in Toronto. It is said that the audience loved the film so much and accolades started poring in. The film is a trilingual being made in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu, is all set to hit screens in October 5.
Directed by Gauri Shinde, the film stars Sridevi in the role of a housewife, who enrolls for an English speaking course in order to please her husband and family. The film explores the impact of not knowing the English language in everyday life. Tamil actor Ajith plays a cameo.
