Silambarasan TR has been the talk of the town for sometime ever since his physical transformation took social media by storm. The multi-talented star is once again looking years younger and is hard at work on the film front having wrapped his Eeswaran under Susienthiran's direction in quick time in a span of less than 45 days, while also completing the dubbing for the film before Diwali. Slated to come out as a Pongal release in January 2021, Simbu has now officially announced on his social media pages that the first single track from Eeswaran will be released on December 14 (Monday). Below is the official announcement:

Eeswaran marks the third occasion S. Thaman is collaborating with Simbu after their previous associations in Osthe and Vaalu, with the composer churning out hit tunes in both films. STR's Eeswaran has generated tremendous hype among fans, especially after a motion poster for the upcoming mass rural action entertainer was released to a rousing reception. Soon after, an action-packed teaser from the film was released as a Diwali treat and has since received a thunderous response. Produced under KV Durai & MDM Sharfudden’s D Company banner, promotions for the film have been on point so far, with fans being provided updates on a consistent basis. Hitting screens in Hindi, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam, Eeswaran will include Nidhhi Agerwal cast as the female lead, followed by veteran director-actor Bharathiraja, Nandita Swetha, Bala Saravanan among others in major supporting roles.

Expectations are sky-high for Eeswaran, which includes a strong technical team with names like S Thirunavukkarasu for cinematography, Anthony for editing and Rajeevan as the art director. STR's last big release was Vantha Rajavathaan Varuven in 2019 after which he appeared in a cameo in Oviya's adult entertainer 90ML. Simbu, who also reminded fans of his acting prowess in Mani Ratnam's multi-starrer box office blockbuster Chekka Chivantha Vaanam in 2018 and is currently filming his mass action political entertainer Maanaadu under Venkat Prabhu's direction, will be looking to get back to his winning ways once again with Eeswaran
