Shruti Haasan has been signed on board to play the female lead in Nandamuri Balakrishna's next film which is tentatively called NBK 107. Shruti will be seen playing the love interest of Balayya in this action entertainer which has got high expectations among the fans. Produced by Mythri Movie Makers, this film has music scored by S Thaman, who is one of the most sought after composers in the industry. NBK 107 is directed by Gopichandh Malineni who had earlier directed the super hit Ravi Teja starrer Krack. Shruti Haasan and director Gopichandh Malineni have worked together in two films in the past - Balupu and Krack, and NBK 107 will mark the duo's third outing together.

It looks like an exciting project is on the cards. Sharing his happiness about working with Shruti Haasan for the third time, director Gopichandh Malineni tweeted, "We are back for the third time again. On Our way to make our hattrick together . Happy to welcome Our Glamorous diva @shrutihaasan ⁩ onboard for #NBK107 with #NBK gaaru. We r starting Our shoot Very Soon @MythriOfficial @MusicThaman". The rest of the cast and crew are yet to be announced and we will keep you posted about them in the coming weeks.

Shruti Haasan was last seen playing the female lead in the Vijay Sethupathi starrer Laabam which opened to mixed reviews from the audience. Up next, Shruti will be seen acting in Prabhas' mega budget action entertainer, Salaar directed by Prashanth Neel of KGF fame.

On the other hand, Nandamuri Balakrishna has a film titled Akhanda, getting ready for release. Akhanda is written and directed by Boyapati Srinu and it features Pragya Jaiswal as the female lead. Produced by Dwaraka Creations, Akhanda has music composed by Thaman S and cinematography handled by C Ram Prasad.
