A few months before, it was officially announced that Sathish will be turning a lead hero with a new film directed by debutant Kishore Rajkumar. Cook with Comali sensation Pavithra Lakshmi was announced as the female lead of the project. Having said that, the title and first look poster of the said film has been unveiled. Yes! The upcoming Sathish - Pavithra Lakshmi starrer has been titled Naai Sekar. Didn't quite expect it, right?! When everyone expected Naai Sekar to be the title of Vadivelu's comeback film with director Suraj, this development has taken the fans by surprise.

Sivakarthikeyan and Indian cricketer Ravichandran Ashwin released the first look poster of the film through their respective social media pages. Sivakarthikeyan shared the first look and wrote, "வடிவேலு சாரின் ரசிகனாக இந்த முதல் பார்வையை வெளியிடுவதில் மகிழ்ச்சி @actorsathish உங்கள் பொறுப்பு அதிகமாகிவிட்டது சிறப்பாக செய்யுங்கள்,படம் மாபெரும் வெற்றி அடைய வாழ்த்துகள் Best wishes to @archanakalpathi @itspavitralaksh dir @KishoreRajkumar & entire team for a great success".

Naai Sekar is one of the most enjoyable characters played by Vadivelu (in Thalainagaram) and it is going to be quite interesting to see how Sathish and team are going to entertain the audience. Talking about the first look poster of Naai Sekar, it features Sathish along with a dog and it looks like the story of the film will revolve around the duo's relationship. The poster looks colourful and has a fun vibe to it. Naai Sekar is produced by AGS Entertainment, the esteemed production house that bankrolled Thalapathy Vijay's blockbuster hit, Bigil.

Super Singer sensation Ajesh Ashok will be composing music for this film which has cinematography by Praveen Balu and editing by Ram Pandian. Rockstar Anirudh Ravichander has composed a single song for the film and that track will be released as the first single very soon. Naai Sekar is currently in the final stages of post-production.
