Director Santhosh P Jayakumar’s latest release, Irandam Kuththu is running in theatres across the country with limited occupancy, as per the Government norms. This adult comedy entertainer, which is the sequel to Iruttu Araiyil Murattu Kuthu, opened to mixed reviews from the critics and audience. Irandam Kuththu was one of the first Tamil films to release in the theatres after the pandemic and lockdown and trade experts were eager to see how the film was received by the audience. The film marked the acting debut of Santhosh P Jayakumar. The makers have now released a new deleted scene from the film on YouTube and it has already garnered solid views.

However, the scene does not seem to be in good taste and the comments from the viewers also reflect the same. This deleted scene features ‘Pazhaya Joke’ Thangadurai talking to school students and the adult wordplay is widely used in this scene. The fans have expressed their anger about using high school children in adult comedy scenes and people have condemned director Santhosh for the same. The film's star cast includes Santhosh P Jayakumar, Karishma Kaul, Akrithi Singh, Meenal Sahu, Daniel Annie Pope, Rajendiran, Ravi Maria, Chaams, TSK, Singam Puli, Swaminathan, Shalu Shamu.

On the technical front, Irandam Kuththu has cinematography by Ballu, editing by Prasanna GK and art direction by Senthil Raghavan. Prasad SN has composed the songs, while the background score has been done by Dharan Kumar. The film is produced by Flying Horse Pictures and released by Rockfort Entertainment. Director Santhosh has also informed the fans that Iruttu Araiyil Murattu Kuthu 3 will be made next year. However, before doing that, he will be directing and acting in Mr Virgin, which will be his immediate next.

Mr Virgin is said to be a breezy romantic comedy that is planned to release in summer 2021. The film will be produced by HB Studios, in association with Dark Room Pictures. Mr Virgin was officially announced last night (Nov 21) marking director Santhosh’s birthday. The film’s shooting is expected to begin very soon and Santhosh seems to be in no mood for rest.
