As we all know, Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi will be acting in the biopic of former International cricketer, Muttiah Muralidharan. This biopic film is in pre-production stages right now and Vijay Sethupathi is getting prepared for his character in the film. Reportedly, Vijay Sethupathi is undergoing intensive training for getting into the shoes of Muttiah Muralidharan and it looks like an exciting project is on cards. The film is touted to be titled as 800, referring to the number of wickets taken by the off spinning legend in Test cricket.

This film will be produced by DAR Motion Pictures, in association with Rana Daggubati's Suresh Productions. The film will be shot in Tamil, but will be released in other languages as well, thereby making it a pan-Indian film. Muttiah Muralidharan is a legend in the field of cricket and the makers would want to make his story reach globally. 800 will be directed by MS Sripathy who made his directorial debut with Jai’s Kanimozhi.
