The shooting of the long-delayed and the highly anticipated Maanaadu began last month and it has been progressing at a good pace. The makers recently shot a song sequence in a grand scale with STR and Kalyani Priyadarshan in a set erected at VGP. A section of media had recently speculated that Simbu didn’t turn up for shoot on time and it created confusion among the fans. Reacting to all the speculations, the film’s producer Suresh Kamatchi has come out with an official statement, condemning the false rumours.

He said, “Some influential people have been spreading false rumours and negative news about Maanaadu through the press and media. One of the medias have reported that Simbu has been coming late to the shooting of Maanaadu and I was completely taken aback reading about it. I would like to make it clear here that Simbu has always turned up for the shoot and that too, on time. He doesn’t even go to his caravan until his scenes are completed. Similarly, another media had reported that Simbu denied coming to Hyderabad for the next schedule.

But, we are going to begin the Hyderabad schedule from day after tomorrow and Simbu is going to be there. All these negative rumours and false updates affect the entire team who work tirelessly day and night. Let Simbu function independently at his natural best. He had shed a few kilos for this character and he loves cinema. I kindly request everyone not to spread false rumours about Simbu or Maanaadu. Don’t create fake stories to satisfy a section of people. Be it any clarification about the film, you can always feel free to contact me and get the right updates.
