The 2018 Bollywood film, Andhadhun, starring Ayushmann Khurrana, Tabu and Radhika Apte turned out to be a box office blockbuster while also reaping massive critical acclaim. Post the release of the film, there were speculations that it would be heading for remakes in several languages with veteran actor turned director and producer, Thiagarajan, revealed to be making a Tamil version featuring his son, Prashanth, in the lead role. After the Andhadhun Tamil remake rights were acquired by Thiagarajan, it was revealed that hit director Mohan Raja known for his films namely Jayam, Santhosh Subramaniam, Velayutham and Thani Oruvan to name a few was confirmed to be the captain of the film.

With Prashanth currently said to be training to nail the role of a piano player as portrayed by Ayushmann Khurrana in the Hindi version, a picture of Tamil cinema's 'Top Star' is now doing the rounds on social media and shows him to have lost a tremendous amount of weight. As of now, it is not clear whether this picture is a recent one or was taken a while back, but fans have been either ways praising Prashanth for his new look. Check out the image below:

Prashanth, director Mohan Raja and producer Thiagarajan have so far been confirmed to be a part of the Andhadhun Tamil remake with actress Ramya Krishnan's name speculated a while back as the prime contender to portray the role played by Tabu. Furthermore, there have been rumors for a while now that 'Isaignani' Ilaiyaraaja will be scoring the music for the Andhadhun remake with an official statement now awaited, which can be expected to be made in the days ahead.
