Strawberry is a 2015 movie, featuring lyricist Pa Vijay in the lead, that he himself directed and produced. In the horror comedy movie, Avani Modi played the leading lady and actors like Samuthirakani, Devayani, Robo Shankar, Thambi Ramaiah, Jangiri Madhumitha, Imman Annachi, Mayilsamy were featured on supporting roles. And now, Pa Vijay has planned to direct the sequel to his film, Strawberry.
When we approached the lyricist concerning the same, he stated that he's been wanting to make a sequel to Strawberry and the details will be announced soon. Strawberry was the directorial debut of Pa Vijay. The movie did not receive much positive feedback. Even in 2018 he directed, produced and acted in a movie named Aarudhra, which also had K Bhagyaraj, S A Chandrasekhar, Mottai Rajendran and others. That film did not perform at the box office as well.
Both the directorial ventures of Pa Vijay were action thrillers and Strawberry 2 is likely to be in the same genre. He is at the moment, occupied with the pre-production of this film. He is also in talks to be one of the lyricists for Rajinikanth's Darbar.
