After participating in Bigg Boss' first season, aired in the year 2017, Oviya Helen has been busy with respect to her professional front. She has currently been roped in for a Malayalam movie, Black Coffee, a spinoff of Aashiq Abu's movie Salt N' Pepper. The movie will have Sunny Wayne as the male lead and is headed by one of the actors in Salt N' Pepper, Baburaj. Apparently Sunny Wayne will be essaying the role of an aspiring filmmaker and Oviya would be seen as an American Malayali who comes down to Kochi to chase her dream of becoming an actress.
These two people's love for movies will be a common factor in the story and Oviya's character realizes that it is not as easy as she imagined it to be and goes on to become a successful model. The director also adds that Black Coffee is a fun movie but with a serious message and features Lena, Oviya, Rachana Narayanankutty and Orma Bose (debutant) as flat mates, with Thesni Khan as their maid.
Apparently, Baburaj, Lal, Shwetha Menon and Mythili will be reprising their characters from Salt N' Pepper and the movie is expected to hit the silver screens this Onam.
