Nayanthara's Mookuthi Amman is one of those films which had a direct OTT release during the Covid times. The film released directly on Disney + Hotstar platform for last year's festive occasion of Diwali. Mookuthi Amman got a fairly positive reception from the family audiences and RJ Balaji managed to satisfy the film's target audience. People were also all praise for Nayanthara's makeover as a Goddess and her dignified and elegant look added more believability. The film which featured Nayanthara in the lead role, was a fantasy comedy in which a family joins forces with their deity god, Mookuthi Amman (that takes the form of a human), to expose a self-proclaimed godman as fake.

Apart from Nayanthara, Mookuthi Amman's star cast also included RJ Balaji, Oorvashi, Smruthi Venkat, Moulee, Ajay Ghosh, Sarithiran, and others. Yaashika Aanand, Mayilsamy, and Indhuja played interesting cameos. The film had music composed by Girish and cinematography handled by Dinesh Krishnan. Mookuthi Amman marked the directorial debut of RJ Balaji who directed the film along with NJ Saravanan. The film is now all set to have its world television premiere on Vijay TV channel on April 14 at 11 AM in the morning. The family audiences will spend their Tamil New Year in front of their television sets by watching Mookuthi Amman on Vijay TV and it is expected to attract a solid amount of viewership.

Ahead of the film's TV premiere, RJ Balaji has now released an unseen scene from the movie and it looks like this scene was removed from the final version due to reasons unknown. This scene makes a strong comment against the age old practice of making menstruating women sit outside the house. Though we are in a modern age, the practice can still be seen at several places across the country and this deleted scene opposes that practice. The fans feel that this scene could have been kept in the final version of the film.

The video is sure to garner good attention on social media. As Nayanthara's Mookuthi Amman is all set for its world television premiere on April 14 on Vijay TV, check out the newly released deleted scene from the film here:
