Director Mysskin’s Psycho turned out to be a successful venture at the box office that also managed to earn critical acclaim. The film got fairly positive reviews from one section of the audience, while the other section had mixed opinions, citing the logical problems. Psycho was one of the most brutal and violent films ever made in Indian cinema and it indeed had some gory visuals. The film showcased Udhayanidhi Stalin in a completely new makeover and his performance as the blind musician won hearts. Similarly, Aditi Rao Hydari and Nithya Menen also delivered neat performances.

However, the people who garnered high attention were the actors who aced the roles of psychopath and Rachel teacher. While Mysskin’s associate and debut actor Rajkumar Pitchumani delivered a terrifying performance as the psychopath, Pritham garnered attention with her brief yet impactful role as Rachel teacher. Not to forget the scintillating songs provided by Isaignani Ilaiyaraaja who delivered three chartbuster numbers and a classy background score.
