Suriya's Soorarai Pottru raw rural folk song written by lyricist Ekadasi

A big film Suriya fans are waiting for this year is the much-awaited, Soorarai Pottru, announced to be coming out as a grand summer treat this April under Irudhi Suttru fame Sudha Kongara's direction. Featuring music by G. V. Prakash Kumar, expectations for the film's album had shot up after the release of the 'Maara Theme' and the 'Veyyon Silli' song penned by lyricist Vivek.

Post the release of the two songs, GV Prakash had announced that the third single in Soorarai Pottru would be a raw rural folk track, which the composer turned actor has now revealed will be released in the next few days with lyrics by his favorite lyricist, Ekadasi. Excitement for Soorarai Pottru is massive especially after the release of an intense and action-packed teaser and showed Suriya displaying his acting skills at his finest levels with many lauding his performance in the footage that was shown. A joint collaboration between Suriya's 2D Entertainment and Guneet Monga's Sikhya Entertainment banners, the film will also be releasing in Telugu under the Aakaasam Nee Haddhu Ra.

Soorarai Pottru also includes a talented supporting cast featuring names like veteran Telugu actor Dr. Mohan Babu playing the role of Suriya's mentor with Aparna Balamurali cast as the female lead followed by Bollywood actor Paresh Rawal making his Tamil cinema debut, Urvashi, Karunas, Vivek Prasanna, Kaali Venkat and others.
