Suriya's Soorarai Pottru has garnered great attention after its release on Amazon Prime Video and the film has opened to highly positive reviews. The positive word of mouth on social media has indeed made the film spread across the country. Soorarai Pottru brought back the Suriya that everyone wanted to see and it was absolutely delightful to watch him perform as the ambitious Maara. The energy and intensity in his eyes was beautifully captured and it conveyed the right kind of emotions. He was duly supported by Aparna Balamurali and Urvashi who were the other superstars in the cast.

Sudha Kongara's smart writing and engaging screenplay, along with GV Prakash's brilliant music and Niketh Bommi's classy visuals, made Soorarai Pottru look even more complete. The film is produced by Suriya's 2d Entertainment in association with Guneet Monga's Sikhya Entertainment. On the acting front, Mahesh Babu’s next film will be Sarkaru Vaari Paata, which is directed by Parasuram Petla of Geetha Govindam fame. Produced by Mythri Movie Makers, in association with 14 Reels Plus and G Mahesh Babu Entertainment Pvt Ltd, Sarkaru Vaari Paata will have music scored by the current sensation, Thaman S, while the cinematography and editing will be taken care of by Madhie and Marthand K Venkatesh respectively.
