Yesterday, on the 11th of August, we had reported that Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt has been diagnosed with stage 3 lung cancer. He had admitted to a Mumbai hospital earlier after complaining of breathing problems. Sanjay Dutt took to Twitter to share a note yesterday evening without actually letting his fans about his disease - “Hi friends, I’m taking a short break from work for some medical treatment. My family and friends are with me and I urge my well wishes not to worry or unnecessarily speculate. With your love and well wishes, I will be back soon," he tweeted. Last week, the actor had tweeted that he was doing well and had tested negative for COVID-19. The 61-year old actor, last seen in period drama Panipat, is said to leave for the US for treatment. Lung cancer is among the leading causes of cancer deaths in both men and women. As is known cancer occurs when cells in a person's body grow out of control but Sanjay Dutt as we know is a fighter and we wish he fights his way back to becoming normal very soon. Meanwhile, Sanjay Dutt’s wife Maanyata Dutt has now issued a statement regarding the health condition of her husband.

Statement of Maanayata Dutt on Sanjay Dutt's health - "I thank everyone who has expressed their well wishes for Sanju's speedy recovery. We need all the strength and prayers to overcome this phase. There is a lot that the family has gone through in the past years but I am confident, this too shall pass. However, it is my heartfelt request to Sanju's fans to not fall prey to speculations and unwarranted rumours, but to just help us with their ongoing love, warmth and support. Sanju has always been a fighter, and so has our family. God has yet again chosen to test us to overcome the challenges ahead. All we seek is your prayers and blessings, and we know we will emerge as winners on the other side, as we always have. Let us use this opportunity to spread light and positivity."
