2020 seems to be a highly challenging year for the human race indeed! As we all know, the deadly Coronavirus has turned the life upside down for people throughout the world and around 4.5 lakhs of lives have been lost due to this virus. Situation in Indian cinema also seem to be worrying enough as the past few months have been very rough with the deaths of Chiranjeevi Sarja, Sushant Singh Rajput, Sethuraman, director Sachy, and others. Having said that, Tamil cinema has now lost a talented technician who is considered to be a favourite for majority of the leading stars here.

Manimaaran, a light officer, passed away recently due to kidney related problems and this news has come as a shocker for many actors and directors in K-town. Actors Vishnu Vishal, Bobby Simha, Aadhav Kannadaasan mourned the death of Manimaaran on their respective social media pages. Vishnu Vishal wrote, “Bad news again… Manimaaran anna was so sweet and always full of energy.. Have worked with him on many films.. #RIP God please stop all this now..”.

Bobby Simha, in his page, said, “Have seen you right from my first film Pizza. In every film I have worked you have seen me and encouraged me saying "innum perusa varanum thambi" and always been a happy cheerful face. Can not believe that you are no more Mani annae . Rest in peace”. Similarly, director Ravikumar, who is currently helming Sivakarthikeyan’s Ayalaan also expressed his grief over Manimaaran’s death.
