Sivakarthikeyan's Doctor is one of the most expected films of this year and the fans are highly excited about the project. Doctor is touted to be a fun-filled action-comedy entertainer and it features Priyanka Arul Mohan as the female lead. Interestingly, Doctor will mark her debut in Tamil cinema. Vinay, Yogi Babu, Bigg Boss fame Archana, Arun Alexander, Cook with Comali fame Dheepa, Redin Kingsley will be seen in supporting roles. Produced by Sivakarthikeyan Productions in association with KJR Studios, Doctor has music scored by Anirudh Ravichander who has already delivered three chartbuster numbers.

'Chellamma' has turned out to be a phenomenal hit and we are sure that the fans are going to have a blast witnessing the visuals of the song very soon. The other two songs, 'Nenjame' and 'So Baby' have also received a very good reception from music lovers. Doctor was initially scheduled to release in theatres on March 26, but the makers postponed the release due to the TN State Elections and it was revealed that the film would release during the Ramzan weekend (May 13 or May 14). However, the current situation looks uncertain and the release of Doctor has been pushed further. Kotapadi J Rajesh of KJR Studios issued an official statement, talking about the release of Doctor.

He mentioned that he is taking all the measures to give Doctor the right kind of release and requested the fans to be patient for a few more weeks or months. Depending upon the intensity of the Covid 19 situation, the new release plans of Doctor will be finalized. Kotapadi J Rajesh's official statement read, "You have been asking us for updates about #Doctor everyday. As a producer, I'm bearing all the financial & material constraints caused by Covid - 19 with a fully ready film in hand.

I'm doing everything within my power to get the film the right release! Losing near and dear ones to the second wave on another hand... At a time like this, where nothing is certain, I do not want to talk about something celebratory like #Doctor release. Please understand & oblige. Stay home, take care of your family, respect the regulations. We as a country need to recover to rejoice a release".
