In an unexpected turn of events, popular Tamil supporting actor, Manimaaran, more better known as Maaran, passed away due to Covid 19 complications. He died during the early morning hours of Wednesday, May 12. A few days before, Maaran was tested positive for Covid 19 and he was admitted to the Chengalpet Government Hospital for medical treatment. Earlier this morning (May 12), he was declared dead by the Doctors. He was 48 years old when he breathed his last. Maaran got his first breakthrough after playing an important role in Thalapathy Vijay's blockbuster hit film, Ghilli, directed by Dharani.

Later, Maaran garnered attention playing a comedy character in Sundar C's Thalainagaram (directed by Suraaj). Maaran was seen alongside Vaigaipuyal Vadivelu in the film's comedy scenes. Vijay's Vettaikaaran, Arjun's Ezhumalai, and Santhanam's A1 are some of the other films in which Maaran was a part of. Apart from being a film and theater actor, Maaran also worked as a stuntman in the industry. Maaran will next be seen playing a crucial role in Pa Ranjith's upcoming film, Sarpatta Parambarai which features Arya in the lead role.

Reports suggest that Maaran will be seen in an interesting character in the film and it will be his last and final film in Tamil cinema. Maaran's unfortunate death has come as a shocker for the Tamil film industry and the fans are mourning his demise on social media.
