Katie Cassidy to perform the Dallas role
Jessica Simpson and Kristin Cavallari were trampled by 7th Heaven actress Katie Cassidy to win the role of Lucy for the remake of Dallas in the big screen. She is 19 years old and the daughter of former teen idol David Cassidy and her boyfriend is the latest teen heartthrob Jesse McCartney. Producers of the drama felt that she could do it better than anyone and suited best for the role.
Charlene Tilton who played original Lucy on the hit television series felt that Jessica was beautiful but too old and preferred Lindsay Lohan for the role. Cassidy who is also a singer and model, recently appeared in Click as Adam Sandler’s daughter.
