Budding actress Pavithra Lakshmi is now a widely popular and known face among the people of Tamil Nadu, thanks to the humongous success of Cook with Comali: Season 2. Pavithra who took part in the second season of Vijay TV's Cook with Comali show, has earned a huge fan base for her fun loving character and beautiful screen presence. Her pairing with Pugazh is also one of the highlight moments of the show. Cook with Comali has given a solid breakthrough for Pavithra and she will now be venturing into Tamil cinema as an actor. Her first Tamil film as the female lead was officially launched last week and it created a good buzz on social media.

Pavithra will be pairing with comedy actor Sathish who will also be turning a protagonist with this new film. Leading Tamil production house, AGS Entertainment will be bankrolling this project which is directed by debutant Kishore Rajkumar. Let us hope that this project gives a solid start to Pavithra in Tamil cinema. Meanwhile, in her recent interaction with the press and media, Pavithra was asked if she is a part of Vijay's upcoming film, Thalapathy 65. The Cook with Comali sensation laughed it off and stated that she is hearing it for the first time. Pavithra said, "Me? Is it? Well, I am hearing this news for the first time. If it turns out to be true, I will definitely give you a treat,". This short reply from Pavithra is now turning heads on social media.

Talking about Thalapathy 65, it is directed by Nelson Dilipkumar of Kolamaavu Kokila and Doctor fame and produced by Sun Pictures. The film will have music scored by Anirudh Ravichander while the cinematography and editing will be handled by Manoj Paramahamsa and R Nirmal respectively. Pooja Hegde will be playing the female lead in the film which has VTV Ganesh, Aparna Das, and others in supporting roles. The shooting of Thalapathy 65 is currently happening in Georgia and the film is touted to be a stylish action drama. The film has got high expectations among the fans and it is expected to showcase Vijay in a refreshingly new dimension and let us hope that Vijay's success streak continues.
