Arya's Salpetta fitness transformation photo goes viral | Pa. Ranjith | Santhosh Narayanan

Arya's last major release was Suriya's Kaappaan prior to which he was seen delivering an electrifying performance in Magamuni and will next be seen in the much-awaited comedy entertainer, Teddy, which is gearing up for its theatrical outing in the next few months. That said, Arya had recently announced that he has kicked off shooting for director Pa. Ranjith's upcoming film, speculatively titled Salpetta, which revolves around the sport of boxing and is expected to be a sports-political drama as intense as his previous films.

With Arya keeping fans informed about Salpetta at regular intervals, the actor has now released a picture on his social media pages showing us the transformation he had to undergo over a period of seven months to achieve the well-built muscular look for his role as a boxer in the film. Taking to his Twitter page, Arya tweeted saying, "7 months of gym cardio and Boxing had this effect on me. Salpetta will see Pa. Ranjith reuniting with his go-to men starting with music director Santhosh Narayanan and cinematographer Murali. G with actor Santhosh Prathap being announced to come on board to play the role of one of the boxers alongside Arya. Being produced under the K9 Studios banner, Salpetta set in the backdrop of North Madras will also include thunderous action sequences being choreographed by the National Award-winning stunt duo, Anbariv.
