Legendary music composer, A.R.Rahman, took his first dose of vaccination yesterday (June 6) and he took to his official Instagram page to share the news with his followers and fans. Rahman took the jab along with his son, A.R.Ameen. Rahman mentioned in his post that he took Covishield. Rahman shared a picture of him along with Ameen, after the vaccination and the image is now going viral on social media. Sharing the picture, Rahman wrote, "Vaccinated #1stjabdone 💉 #covishield have you?". When a National icon like A.R.Rahman gets vaccinated, it will definitely bring awareness among a lot of people and let us hope to overcome this Covid 19 situation very soon.

Rahman, on his professional front, recently witnessed the release of 99 Songs, which marked his debut as a story writer and producer. Rahman's brilliant music and outstanding visuals made 99 Songs a very unique movie-watching experience. Up next, Rahman has several interesting projects in his lineup. He will be composing music for Chiyaan Vikram's Cobra, directed by Ajay Gnanamuthu. The film's shoot is completed and the makers are currently busy with the post-production works. Rahman is also the composer for Sivakarthikeyan's highly anticipated sci-fi thriller, Ayalaan which is helmed by R Ravikumar. Ayalaan, which is based on the concept of alien invasion, has got huge expectations among the fans and film buffs.

The legendary composer is also working on the historical epic, Ponniyin Selvan, made by his mentor, Mani Ratnam. The fans are eagerly looking forward to listening to the tunes of Ponniyin Selvan as it has been quite a long time since we saw Rahman compose music for a historical film. Some of the other films in Rahman's lineup include Nadhigalilae Neeraadum Sooriyan (STR - Gautham Vasudev Menon), Pathu Thala (STR - Gautham Karthik), Aadujeevitham (Prithviraj), Iravin Nizhal (R Parthiban), Atrangi Re (Dhanush - Aanand L Rai), and more.
