Following the blockbuster success of Master, Thalapathy Vijay is currently working on his next movie which is tentatively called Thalapathy 65. Produced by Kalanithi Maran under the banner of Sun Pictures, this stylish action entertainer is directed by Nelson Dilipkumar of Kolamaavu Kokila and Doctor (yet to be released) fame. The film has got huge expectations among the fans and film buffs and we can expect the movie to take a mega grand opening at the box office. Going by the current reports, the film is planned to release in theatres for next year's Pongal festival, but the plan is subject to change depending on the intensity of the Covid situation.

The first schedule of Thalapathy 65 took place in Georgia and quite a few important scenes involving Vijay were shot in that schedule. The shoot took place for a span of 20 days in Georgia. The team is currently waiting for the Covid situation to get better and once the situation is under control, the second schedule will begin in Chennai. The film features Pooja Hegde as the female lead and this is her second Tamil film after Mugamoodi. VTV Ganesh, Shine Tom Chacko, and Aparna Das would be seen in supporting roles.

While the makers are yet to make an official announcement regarding the rest of the cast, a new exciting update has now arrived and it has excited the fans. Yes! Yogi Babu has officially confirmed that he will be acting in Vijay's Thalapathy 65. One of the fans recently tagged Yogi Babu on Twitter and asked if he is a part of Thalapathy 65, to which, Yogi Babu replied - "Yesppa". This one word from Yogi Babu has now delighted the fans and people are already looking forward to seeing him perform along with Vijay.

Though there were speculations before, the news has been officially confirmed for the first time and it is surely an exciting revelation. Yogi Babu's comedies in Nelson's Kolamaavu Kokila turned out to be a big success and the blockbuster combination is coming again for Thalapathy 65 as well.
